A Nigerian woman has expressed her surprise after learning that her long-time friend of 27 years is covertly dating her younger brother.
According to her, the bond began in their neighbourhood and continued through university, making the betrayal even more difficult to accept.
She revealed that her younger brother, who is now working, allegedly piqued her friend’s interest when he paid her a visit at school, and she began secretly pursuing him.
“She started telling him, ‘You’re so grown oo, give me your number so I can be viewing your status.’ I wasn’t even suspecting anything because this boy is just 20 years.
Behind my back, these two started seeing each other and kn@cking. At the time, she would be with me and say she wanted to go and see someone, not knowing it was my brother,” she said.
The reality, however, emerged when she checked her friend’s phone. A picture showed the two of them together at her brother’s house.
When confronted, her brother said the buddy had “brought herself” to him. Despite her fury, she chose to leave them and continue their relationship.
Things apparently took a turn when her buddy returned with an injured face one day following a fight with him, saying her younger brother had cheated on her while insisting he was only dating her.
The incident has sparked reactions online. One user wrote, “I can’t believe your friend would do this after 27 years!” Another added, “Age is not the only issue; trust matters.”
