A man has generated outrage online after showing his mother’s inventive manner of storing unique items in their refrigerator at home.

He explained that after removing the traditional fridge lock, his mother devised an additional method to prevent access whenever there is a unique item inside. Instead of leaving it open, she reportedly secures the fridge door with a polythene (nylon) bag to prevent simple access.

He explained that the strategy is typically used when there is something vital in the fridge to ensure that no one accidentally opens it without her awareness. The man stated that his mother was the only one who knew how to untie it, and if any family member unties it to grab something from the fridge, she will notice.

The revelation surprised many social media users, with many linking to similar childhood situations in which parents employed creative means to keep food items in the fridge.
