Real Madrid step up pursuit of Ivory Coast star Yan Diomandé

Real Madrid is closing in on signing RB Leipzig winger Yan Diomandé after making great progress in talks with both the player and the German club.

According to reports, the Spanish giants have already agreed on personal terms with the winger and are currently negotiating a transfer cost with Leipzig.

RB Leipzig has reportedly rejected Real Madrid’s opening bid of €90 million, with a further €10 million in performance-related add-ons.

Despite this setback, negotiations continue, with both teams hoping that an agreement will be achieved in the coming days.

Diomandé has also piqued the curiosity of Premier League giants Manchester City and Arsenal, who are said to have made enquiries in the last ten days.

However, the winger is reported to have stated unequivocally that Real Madrid is his preferred destination.

The mooted deal is believed to improve Real Madrid’s attacking options, with Diomandé likely to play on the right wing.

Endrick, Franco Mastantuono, and Brahim Díaz, who are already battling for regular minutes in attack, may face increased rivalry with his arrival.

Arsenal is reportedly interested in signing Vinícius Júnior if he does not agree to a new contract with Madrid.

Although there is no evidence that the two situations are related, signing Diomandé would strengthen Real Madrid’s attacking options as the club looks to win titles in the coming season.
