Police operatives have rescued a 23-year-old man who was found unconscious after allegedly ing3sting an ins3cticide in the Magodo area of Lagos State.

The incident was reported at the Isheri Police Division on June 21, 2026, by Aminat Odofin, a resident of No. 24 Nojim Nije Street, Magodo.

According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, Odofin said she discovered Michael Bliss, whom she had cared for since he was seven years old, lying unconscious inside a room in the house at about 8:40 a.m.

Preliminary investigations indicated that the young man may have con$umed an ins3cticide after being confronted over an alleged theft.

Following the report, detectives visited the scene, documented relevant evidence, and commenced further investigation into the matter.

The victim was immediately taken to Spark View Hospital in Magodo, where he received urgent medical attention.

Police sources disclosed that the 23-year-old was responding positively to treatment and remained under protective custody while investigations continued.

Authorities said efforts are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
