Osimhen–Lookman Feud Resolved – NFF

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that an on-field disagreement between Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman during Monday’s 4–0 win over Mozambique at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco has been fully resolved.

Nigeria dominated the match at Fez Stadium, with Osimhen scoring twice and Lookman and Akor Adams adding a goal each.

However, a brief confrontation erupted between the two former African Players of the Year shortly after the hour mark, prompting Osimhen to request a substitution.

During the match, Osimhen was captured confronting Lookman over a missed pass in a clear scoring opportunity, while the Galatasaray striker left the stadium immediately after full-time, ahead of his teammates.

Lookman, who was named Man of the Match, dismissed any notion of a feud in his post-match interview.

The NFF later confirmed that the issue had been addressed internally.

“There is no problem whatsoever in our camp. What people saw as a crisis between two brothers was resolved within hours. All is well,” Team Administrator Dayo Enebi said in a statement.

Also reacting, the Super Eagles Media Officer Promise Efoghe said there is no issue in the camp

“The issues from the on-field disagreement have been resolved internally. Kindly disregard reports to the contrary,” he said.
