Victor Osimhen has reiterated his allegiance to Galatasaray, maintaining he is content in Istanbul despite previous interest from Juventus.

The Nigerian striker, who signed a €75 million permanent deal after a successful loan term, addressed transfer speculation ahead of Galatasaray’s Champions League match against the Italian side.

While revealing that Juventus had discussed a deal, Osimhen made it plain that his attention is still on his current club.

“Yes, and I might be at two other excellent Serie A clubs now. Before the talks with Galatasaray began, [Cristiano] Giuntoli called to bring me to Juve,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I spoke to a couple of people at the club, and they showed interest, but I knew he [Aurelio De Laurentiis] wouldn’t let me go. In any case, the interest was definitely there. And when Juve calls you, regardless of everything, you have to sit down and listen.”

Despite Turin’s approach, Osimhen highlighted his satisfaction with Turkey and ignored calls for fast action.

“I am at a club and city I absolutely love. I’ve been lucky to find Galatasaray on my way. There’s nothing similar to Gala and the love from the fans,” he said.

The 27-year-old has justified the club’s investment, scoring 15 goals and providing three assists in 22 appearances this season.

He has also scored six goals in the Champions League, highlighting his importance to Galatasaray’s European ambitions.

Osimhen played an important role in achieving domestic triumph last season and has now turned his attention to continental progress.

“We did great in Turkey. Now it’s time to show our quality in Europe,” he added.
