“No be ‘see finish’ be that?” — Fayose slams Tinubu over his boastful election comments

Isaac Fayose, brother of former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, has attacked President Bola Tinubu for comments attributed to his political camp about his electoral successes.

In a popular video, Fayose attacked what he described as pompous confidence in the President’s ascension to power, citing Tinubu’s claim that he overcame a difficult party primary and a challenging general election to become president.

In a viral video, Tinubu was heard declaring that the primary and presidential elections that propelled him to power were difficult, but he won.

Fayose questioned the idea of political domination, describing it as a “see finish” attitude.

Fayose said: “Can you see and hear ‘see finish’ from Mr. President? He said during the primaries it was tough, but he won. And during the election that brought him in, it was tough that he won.

That he’s now president. That nobody fit take him out. Hear your president. No be ‘see finish’ be that.”

He suggested that such confidence indicates a belief among political actors that they are firmly in control of key state institutions.

They don see us finish. It’s so confident because they know that INEC is their own. They know that judicially is no more hope. They are so sure of themselves,” he added.

Despite his criticism, Fayose urged Nigerians not to lose hope, insisting that citizens still have the power to change their situation.

But you and I, we can still wake up and change our story. God bless you,” he said.
