The Arewa group in Nigeria generated outrage online after a video surfaced of a speaker issuing a warning to US President Donald Trump and American servicemen.
The footage, which was uploaded on the microblogging platform X, highlights local fears and anxieties over alleged foreign influence and military activity, particularly in light of escalating worldwide turmoil and international military actions. Arewa Group Issues Strong Warning to the US.
In the video, the speaker issues a warning to the United States and its military, encouraging care and warns against any acts of aggression on Nigerian soil.
Nigeria Will Not Be Treated Like Iran, Others He argues that Nigeria should not be treated like other countries, citing Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and Venezuela.
The speaker also issues an unexpected warning, claiming that if American forces were to conduct war in Nigeria, the country’s mosquitoes would attack and infect them with malaria fever, leading them to die swiftly.

“Mr. Donald Trump, let me be aware that Nigeria is not Vietnam. Nigeria is not Afghanistan. Nigeria is not Iraq. Nigeria is not Iran. Nigeria is not Venezuela. If you attempt to encourage and make aggression and send your armed forces to Nigeria to wage war, ah, it is an unscrupulousness. But be aware that our mosquitoes are waiting for your soldiers they will bite them and infect them with malaria fever to die instantly.”
