In response to accusations made by fellow content producer Baba Orobo, skit maker Nasboi has defended his actions.

Remember how Baba Orobo chastised Nasboi for saying he was worthless after requesting a ride?

In a message posted on social media, Nasboi claimed that despite working with hundreds of people, it was unfair to judge him based on one person’s complaint because he had established a reputation over the previous six years for helping both strangers and coworkers.

He claims to have collaborated with Baba Orobo roughly five times and made sure he was compensated each time. Additionally, he said that he got him a one-night gig at an AY show, where he made ₦200,000.

However, Nasboi claimed that Baba Orobo frequently asked for further help, such as lodging and help obtaining money for a car, which he characterised as an attitude of entitlement.

The creator of the sketch went on to say that he has encountered a variety of attitudes from people in the entertainment sector, from those who are grateful for opportunities to those who demand financial assistance beyond what has been agreed upon.

He insisted that all of his team members receive compensation and said that, in order to maintain professionalism, he now delegates casting and payments to his production manager. Nasboi declared that he would keep upholding his reputation going forward.
