A man who was present at the memorial service for Ifunanya Nwangene, also referred to as Nanyah, has shared his poignant thoughts about the occasion.
On January 31, 2026, the young singer was bitten by a snake at her home and unfortunately died at the age of 26.
Family, relatives, and fans gathered at the Transcorp Hilton in Abuja for the memorial service to honour and commemorate Nanyah’s life.
The gathering was characterised by attendees as passionate and mournful, demonstrating the profound influence the late artist had on those in her immediate vicinity.
The man, who went by @paulfortune1 on TikTok, shared a video that featured a number of different instances from the site.
He wrote in his piece that the event served as a potent reminder of life’s unpredictable nature.

After being bitten by a snake at home, Nanyah reportedly went straight to the hospital, but sadly, she did not make it.
