A Nigerian woman described how she and her sisters helped their only brother move to the UK with ₦6 million each, but he prioritized bringing his girlfriend over.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), @Ebun disclosed that the siblings contributed to their brother’s relocation overseas in the hopes that he would eventually help them once he settled down.

She asserted, however, that her brother had never sent gifts or money to any of his sisters since moving.

She remembered how their oldest sister had confronted him over Christmas of last year, telling him that he was now settled and that he ought to think about assisting another sibling in moving to the UK.

She claims that the brother’s response was that he needed to start his own family, so he wanted to bring his girlfriend first.

The woman revealed that their brother asked for her account number after her oldest sister persisted.

“He asked for her account number and sent her ₦6 million. Then he texted, ‘I’ll settle the others later,’” she recounted.

Social media users have responded to her post, offering their opinions on the siblings’ choice to pay for their brother’s move as well as his response to their help request.
