A Nigerian single mother and divorcee, Gladys Akibhor, has opened up about her experience in marriage while sharing a photo with her baby.

The image shows a scar on her left ear, which she said serves as a permanent reminder of her ex-husband’s alleged actions.

According to Gladys, her former husband allegedly threatened to leave her with a mark she would never forget and later carried out the threat by cutting her ear.

“A proud divorcee and single mum to my handsome boy. The scar for my ear, I got it from my past marriage,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Saturday, June 20, 2026.

“When my Ex say to me. I go give you mark you no go ever forget, me think say he was just saying it. Not untill he cut my Ear.

“Indeed he gave me a mark that I will never forget and I cannot wear earrings on that ear.”
