A Nigerian pastor bemoaned what he called his church’s members’ lack of gratitude, especially in contrast to the support they give well-known preachers on the internet.

In an online video, the pastor bemoaned the fact that, despite his support for them during trying times, some of his churchgoers apparently do not honour him or acknowledge his birthday on social media.

Additionally, he chastised members for regularly disseminating the birthday greetings and links to prayer sessions of well-known pastors like Pastor Jerry Eze, alleging that some members turn to these pastors after he prays for them and then utilise their financial blessings to pay tithes to them.

The pastor questioned why members would supposedly publicly celebrate more well-known preachers while ignoring the guy who had prayed and supported them.

“It’s very painful that my own church members don’t even celebrate me or my birthday online, despite the fact that I have always been there for them during their trying times. But whenever Pastor Jerry Eze or any other famous pastor is celebrating their birthday or holding prayer sessions, all my members will be busy sharing their prayer links. After we pray for you and you see the results, you will now use the money to pay tithes to them, forgetting the person who prayed for you.”
