Meghan Markle releases new family portrait to celebrate daughter’s 5th birthday

Meghan Markle has shared two new photos to mark her daughter Lilibet’s 5th birthday.

The Duchess of Sussex posted the images on Instagram on Thursday, June 4, celebrating the occasion with a short message.

In one of the photos, Lilibet is seen barefoot with long red hair covering her face while being held in Prince Harry’s arms, who looks at her affectionately. Meghan stands beside them with her hand on Harry’s shoulder, smiling at their daughter.

She captioned the post: “Our dream girl. Happy 5th birthday, Lili,” followed by a white heart emoji.

In another image, Lilibet is shown standing barefoot on a sunlit lawn, wearing a summer dress while reaching out to touch blue-purple agapanthus flowers, also known as the Lily of the Nile or African Lily.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter is the granddaughter of King Charles, the current British monarch. She was born on June 4, 2021, in the United States and named Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor.

She became eligible to use the title Princess after King Charles ascended the throne, in line with rules established by King George V in 1917.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle reportedly began using the Prince and Princess titles for Archie and Lilibet after her christening in 2023, following discussions with King Charles.
