After a man’s asylum claim took an unexpected turn, an Irish story is going viral.

Given Nigeria’s “Same-Sex Marriage (Prohibition) Act,” the Nigerian man’s initial claim that his life was in danger there because of his s3xual orientation was a legitimate basis for asylum. Some questioned the veracity of his initial claim, though, when he later stated that he had a wife and two kids back home.
