Man reportedly hospitalized after mistaking hair relaxer for ice cream his wife kept inside fridge

A video circulating widely on social media has sparked mixed reactions after a man was reportedly hospitalized for accidentally eating hair relaxer he allegedly mistook for ice cream.

According to reports accompanying the viral clip, the incident occurred after the man opened a refrigerator and found a small container labeled “Mizani Butter Blend.” Believing it to be butter or ice cream, he reportedly consumed its contents.

However, while the container bears the name “Mizani Butter Blend,” it is also clearly labeled “Relaxer Medium/Normal,” indicating that it contains a hair relaxer and is not intended for consumption.

The viral video shows the man lying on a hospital bed with visibly swollen eyes as bystanders claim he was receiving medical treatment after ingesting the chemical.

The authenticity of the claims surrounding the incident has not been independently verified. Nevertheless, the video has generated widespread reactions online, with many users expressing concern and using the incident to remind others to carefully read product labels before consuming anything, especially items stored in refrigerators or food containers.
