A Nigerian woman who sobbed while pleading for a job on social media has now been hired.
After her heartfelt video went viral, Blord Group extended an employment offer to the woman, who goes by the handle @koredudu on TikTok.
In an emotional plea on her TikTok profile, the woman asked Nigerians to support her video in order to help her land a job.
She was clearly upset as she talked about her difficulties in the video.

“I have a confession to make. I think I am gradually getting to my breaking point. It is not actually easy coming to face the camera, but please, the way the same energy people put into making many things go viral on social media, please kindly put this energy into posting my video. Please, I need a job.”
Users shared, commented on, and tagged prominent people as soon as the video acquired popularity.
Nigerian billionaire Linus Williams Ifejirika, better known by his stage as Blord, responded to the popular appeal a few days after the video went viral.
Afterwards, Blord declared that he had made the decision to extend an employment offer to the young lady.
Another round of online reactions followed his decision, with many applauding him for listening to her plea for assistance.
Blord posted a video to his Instagram profile on January 22, 2025, verifying the woman’s employment.
In the post, read whst he wrote below:
“BLORDGROUP WELCOME KOREDE TO OUR HEADQUARTERS!!! I HAVE FULFILLED MY PROMISE OF MAKING HER HEAD OF @bluntgadgets IN LAGOS OFFICE. GOD BLESS @mazitundeednut FOR MAKING IT POSSIBLE, LOVE AND LIGHT 💡!!! BLORDGROUP WON’T STOP EMPOWERING.”
A video of Blord and Korede having a face-to-face conversation was included with the news.
Blord gave the woman and himself an introduction at the beginning of the video, saying:
“Good morning guys, this is Blord. I’m with Korede, all the way from Ogun State.”
Korede also discussed her initial thoughts on her new surroundings, stating:
“Awka is pleasant, it’s a pleasant place. The reception is warm.”
Blord then asked her:
“How do you feel not having a job two weeks ago to having a job now?”
She responded emotionally:
“It’s something I didn’t really expect. Thanks to Blord Group.”
Blord further explained her role at the company, saying:
“We at Blord Group decided to give Korede an opportunity to work with us as the Head of Blunt Gadgets in Lagos. Korede, we can’t wait to see your action. We can’t wait to have you in our Lagos office. Lagos people are ready to order from you.”
