A Nigerian lady has shared her experience after lending money to her ex-boyfriend, revealing how he responded when she asked for it back.

In a post on X, @fifss said that while they were dating, her ex-boyfriend pressured her until she repaid money she had borrowed from him.

According to her, months later, the same ex-boyfriend borrowed money from her and promised to repay it within three days.

However, after a week passed without repayment, she said she politely reminded him about the money.

Recounting his response, she wrote:

> “He asked me why I was requesting money from ‘my man.’ According to him, I should have considered it a gift, and asking for it back made me a bad person.”

She said his response left her speechless, but she continued to insist on getting her money back.

According to her, immediately after he refunded the money, he blocked her.

Her post has since generated mixed reactions on X, with many users sharing their opinions on lending money to partners and the importance of setting clear financial boundaries in relationships.
