A journalist has recounted a terrifying ordeal after armed robbers invaded his home in the early hours of Sunday, April 26, 2026.

According to his account shared on , he was asleep with his wife, children, and brothers when unusual noises woke him. Looking outside, he said he saw armed men jumping over the fence into their compound.

He immediately alerted his brothers, and they switched on the security lights. The att@ckers then reportedly demanded that they open the door, threatening to shoot if they refused. At one point, the robbers allegedly pointed a gun through a window at his brother while attempting to force their way inside.

During the ordeal, the journalist said the intruders saw his daughter and asked her to open the door. Frightened, she reportedly turned to him and asked if the men had come to harm them.

The robbers eventually gained entry and demanded money, making away with phones, laptops, and other valuables before fleeing the scene.

While no fatalities were reported, the incident left the family shaken. Ameh expressed concern about the emotional impact on his young children, fearing the experience could leave lasting trauma.
