“I’m not submissive, your money is our money” – Lady sparks debate with bold marriage expectations

A Nigerian woman has generated outrage online after outlining five reasons why she believes some men may not want to date or marry her.

In a viral video published on X (previously Twitter), she discussed her thoughts on submission, finances, and home obligations, stating that she prefers to be transparent about her expectations in partnerships.

According to her, the first reason is that she does not believe in submissioladyn and instead values mutual respect between couples.

“I’m not submissive. I don’t believe in submission. Two people are together, two people should be submitting to each other. Some days you submit to me, some days I submit to you. It’s a mutual respect thing,” she said.

She also stated that she believes that a man’s money should be split between both couples, while her personal money should stay hers.

The lady stated that she is not accustomed to financially supporting guys because she grew up watching men provide for women.

She went on to say that her father has established a very high standard for the type of man she can be impressed by, and that she has been unnecessarily pampered and wants the same treatment from any future partners.

“Your money is our money, my money is my money. My dad has already set a very high standard. I’m overly pampered, and I’m very lazy when it comes to house chores. Cooking is therapy for me, not a necessity,” she added.

Her words have elicited conflicting reactions online, with some supporting her viewpoints and others arguing that her expectations may make finding a fit spouse difficult.
