VeryDarkMan, a popular social media pundit, ignited outrage online after giving his thoughts on men and women who continually phone or text their partners while at work or running a business.
According to him, continually contacting a spouse during work hours to say “I miss you” or demand attention is not a show of love, but rather a warning sign that should be taken carefully.
In contrast to emotional pressure, VeryDarkMan said that genuine love allows for personal growth, focus, and responsibility.
Read his words below;
“As a man, if you’re in a relationship with a woman and you both have a connection, but while you’re at work or your business place she’s always texting you, ‘Baby, I miss you. I want to see you.
You’re always leaving me,’ that is not love. That’s her spirit working against you. Any partner that cannot wait for you to close from work or business in 2026, stay away from them.”
He also emphasised that love should not be possessive or disruptive, and that lovers must respect each other’s space, time, and responsibilities. The message has subsequently polarised social media users.
While some agreed with VeryDarkMan, claiming that continuous calls and messages can indicate insecurity or emotional control, others thought his statements were harsh.
Many users, particularly women, resisted his stance, stating that missing a partner and wanting to reconnect with them does not always imply manipulation or evil motives.
The argument has sparked discussions about boundaries, emotional dependence, and what healthy love means in the modern era.
