“If My Wife Cheats On Me, I Won’t Leave Her Because It Doesn’t Mean Anything – Seun Kuti

According to a report by Daily Post on Saturday, August 29, 2026, afrobeats musician Seun Kuti has stated that he would remain married even if his wife were unfaithful, arguing that adultery is not always grounds for divorce.

The comments were made by Kuti when discussing marriage, relationships, and the various reactions of partners to infidelity.

What he meant was that he does not think adultery is a big enough problem to dictate whether a marriage should stay or end.

Cheating should not be the defining characteristic of a relationship, according to the artist. This is reflected in his stance.

He firmly believes that an act of adultery does not necessitate ending a relationship or erasing all references to it.

In the course of discussing the matter, Kuti also criticised what he saw as the reaction of certain African men when their wives were unfaithful.

He made the argument that one’s views and expectations about marriage and relationships can impact one’s reaction to infidelity.

Moreover, Kuti maintained that infidelity is a real problem that can arise in partnerships, and that it shouldn’t be seen as proof that a relationship is useless or unsustainable just because it happens.

During a conversation on marriage and the difficulties couples face, he made these remarks.

He insisted that adultery would not be the sole factor that led him to divorce his wife.

“If my wife cheats on me, I won’t leave her because it doesn’t mean anything,” he said.
