Despite the official results announced by the electoral authorities, Peter Obi, the chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has reaffirmed his belief that he won the 2023 presidential election.
Speaking on the Naija Unfiltered podcast, Obi insisted that, in his opinion, the results announced did not accurately represent the election’s actual outcome.
The former governor of Anambra State underlined that he is still certain that his campaign was successful, implying that the electoral process yielded a different outcome than what he thinks happened.
“I can show you today, as far as I’m concerned, I have run election for the office of the President of Nigeria and won. But the system decided otherwise and they know it,” he said
Obi, who contested under the platform of the Labour Party, secured approximately six million votes in the 2023 presidential election.
