An engineer has raised alarm after allegedly finding that some materials supplied to him as granite were actually baked clay.

In a video shared online, he compared the materials with what he described as authentic granite, demonstrating how some of the stones easily crumbled and washed off in his hand.

According to him, the whitish materials mixed with the granite were not stones but baked clay shaped to look like granite.

“You can see, this is hard clay. See the way they wash from my hand. This is not granite, this is clay,” he said while demonstrating the material.

The engineer further compared the suspected clay with genuine granite, highlighting the clear differences between both.

He also alleged that several similar pieces were found among the supplied materials.
