A video circulating online shows the moment a man suspected of inappropriate conduct was confronted after allegedly trying to lure a 13-year-old girl, identified as Hadijat, to his room.

According to reports, a nearby resident witnessed the incident as the girl—who was selling cocoyam—was approached by the suspect. The witness recorded the interaction from his window as evidence before stepping outside to challenge the man directly.

In the footage, the suspect is heard claiming he was “only joking” when he told the teenager he liked her and invited her to his home. The video has since sparked concern and reactions across social media.

When the girl was questionned, she recounted how the middle-aged man told her he wanted to marry her.

‘’He was asking me if I will be able to marry him and I told him you are older than me. He said he is married. He asked for my name and I told him Hadijat is my name. I said he is older than me.’
