A disturbing video has surfaced showing the moment former beauty queen was fatally shot, allegedly by her mother-in-law, in Mexico City.

The 27-year-old, who held the Miss Teen Universe title for Baja California in 2017, was reportedly at her home in the upscale Polanco area on April 15 when the incident occurred. In the footage obtained by Reforma, she is seen walking through the living room in a robe, with her mother-in-law, , following behind before the shooting happens.

Moments later, her husband, , appears in the video holding their baby.

“What was that?” he asks in Spanish.

“What did you do, crazy?” an unidentified woman’s voice is heard saying.

“Nothing,” Herrera answered. “She made me angry.”

“What’s wrong with you? She’s my family,” the son responds.

“You’re mine and she stole you,” his mother said.

Authorities in Mexico City have launched an investigation into the killing but have yet to file formal charges. Herrera has been named as the primary suspect, while investigators are also examining why the incident was not reported until the following day.

The victim’s mother, , told Univision News that the delay may have been due to concerns about the child’s welfare, as the father feared the baby could be placed in foster care.

Meanwhile, Baja California governor has called for a swift and thorough investigation into the case.

“No crime against a woman should go unpunished. Our thoughts are with her family during this devastating time,” Avila told reporters.
