An X user revealed a terrible experience after inadvertently depositing ₦195,000 to a clothes retailer.

The lady, @justmercy on X (formerly Twitter), shared that she discovered the dealer on Instagram.

When she realised there was a mistake in the transaction, she contacted the apparel dealer and demanded a refund, but was blocked.

The X user expressed disappointment with the apparel dealer since she had placed her trust in her.

The transaction receipt attached to the tweet indicated the lady’s account balance following her purchase to the apparel retailer.

The lady’s account balance before payment to the merchant was ₦9,397,518.00, as shown in the screenshot.

Additionally, the transaction took place on Friday, January 26, 2025, at 6:42 p.m.

My biggest mistake was sending ₦195,000 instead of ₦19,500 to a clothing vendor i met on Instagram. It was an honest error, and i reached out to her immediately to explain the situation and ask for a refund of the excess amount.

Unfortunately, instead of responding or trying to resolve the issue, she blocked me right after i told her about the mistake. It’s really disappointing because i trusted her, and now I’m left dealing with the consequences of that error.
