“I just stood up and left” — Lady narrates why she blocked a man after he asked her to cook

A lady has sparked outrage online after terminating a promising relationship with a financially supportive man, blaming “disrespect” after he asked her to cook during a visit to his house.

The woman, whose tale has already gone viral on social media, stated that she met the man during a university matriculation ceremony, where they both went to support their families.

According to her, the man approached her, took her contact information, and they began texting shortly after.

Recounting her experience, she said, “I told him my laptop was faulty, and instead of sending money to repair it, he sent money for me to get a new one.

She further stated that the man continued to send her money for personal reasons, such as hair, nails, and other costs.

He kept sending money whenever I complained about something,” she said, noting that their interactions soon progressed into outings, including dates, shopping trips, and a cinema visit.

However, the relationship reportedly took a turn when she visited his residence. “Less than two hours after I arrived, after entertaining me with wine, ice cream and pizza, he told me to cook for both of us,” she said.

At first I thought he was joking, then he said he was serious that he would like to taste my cooking.”

She explained that she instantly left his home, describing the request as unreasonable, and that she gathered up her luggage before leaving, subsequently blocking him when she returned home.

She went on to say that despite his numerous attempts to contact her via several phone lines to figure out what he had done wrong, she was unwilling to provide any explanations.

The event has elicited conflicting comments online, with some users supporting her stand on personal boundaries and others criticising her attitude as overly harsh given the man’s financial gestures.
