After openly expressing his intense displeasure over his lifelong Christian faith and asserting that decades of devotion had produced no noticeable effects, a man sparked intense emotions.
The old guy, whose identity was not immediately revealed, claimed to have been a follower of Jesus for more than 60 years and to have prayed regularly without getting what he called a single answered prayer.
According to witnesses, the emotional outburst happened during a community event, and he started crying as he described his experience.
“I have been following Jesus for the past 60 years and nothing, not even a single prayer of mine, has been answered. Following Jesus ruined my life,” he lamented.
“I did everything they asked us to do — prayers, fasting, giving — but today I have nothing to show for it. I feel abandoned and disappointed after all these years,” he added.
Particularly in a nation where Christianity is deeply ingrained in daily life, the man’s comments have rekindled discussions about faith, expectations, and religious precepts.
Similar worries have previously surfaced when some people questioned the connection between religious dedication and individual outcomes, especially during economic downturns.
