A woman has shared her incredible delivery story, telling how she drove herself to the hospital while already 5cm dilated, safely delivered her baby, and went home on her own shortly after.
The episode, which she just reported on social media, has sparked extensive discussion about the risks and resilience involved.
According to her version, the incident occurred when she went into labour unexpectedly and there was no urgent support available.
Despite the extreme agony and advanced stage of labour, she was able to get herself to a neighbouring hospital, where she was taken to the labour department and gave delivery without incident.
“I drove myself to the hospital when I was already 5cm dilated” she wrote.
She added, “Went into the labour room and came out with my testimony. For other mothers out there I pray for smooth delivery”
Health professionals have frequently urged women against giving birth alone, emphasising the significance of medical supervision and support throughout labour to avoid problems.
In recent years, similar incidents have emerged during emergencies, particularly during the COVID-19 lockdown, when restricted movement and limited access to carers caused some women to deliver on their own.
