Former presidential assistant Bashir Ahmad has demanded that US missionary Alex Babir be investigated and taken into custody.

His request was made just hours after Alex posted a video criticizing President Tinubu for recent attacks in Plateau State. On Sunday, March 29, gunmen attacked the Anguwan Rukuba community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau state, k!lling over ten people. In his video, Alex accused President Tinubu of doing nothing to put an end to Nigeria’s insecurity and Christian k!llings. 

In response to the video, Bashir claimed that Alex has been publicly “spreading h@te and attempting to incite violence against Nigerians of diverse backgrounds.”

In order to protect peace, unity, and public order, he urged the authorities to act quickly and legally to conduct investigations, make arrests when needed, and guarantee accountability.
