Nigerian streamer Carter Efe has alleged that the car publicly presented to him by music star D’banj was never fully given to him despite the widespread publicity that followed the announcement.
The controversy began after a video surfaced online in which Carter Efe claimed that the vehicle unveiled during a public event was not handed over as many people believed.
According to him, he was later informed that he would have to pay ₦65 million before taking possession of the car.
The comedian said he was shocked by the development, maintaining that he never requested a car from anyone.
The skitmaker also claimed that the gift turned out differently from what was presented to the public during the highly publicised moment.
Carter Efe further accused media personality Sunday Are of not being sincere with him during discussions surrounding the matter.
He alleged that advice given to him at the time was aimed at preventing him from speaking publicly about what had happened.
The content creator described the vehicle as an “audio” gift, a popular slang term used to suggest that something exists only in words and not in reality.
