Lady Gaga and her fiancé, Michael Polansky, have reportedly welcomed their first child together via a surrogate.
According to TMZ, the 40-year-old singer’s daughter, named Rose Bean Polansky, was born on June 9 at 11:19 p.m. at Los Angeles’ famed Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.
While the reason for using a surrogate remains unclear, the singer has previously been open about her battle with fibromyalgia, a condition associated with severe pain and exhaustion.
A birth certificate obtained by TMZ reportedly revealed the sex and name of the couple’s newborn, as well as details surrounding her birth.
The child was delivered by Dr. Robert Katz, an OB/GYN who also delivered Ciara and Russell Wilson’s daughter, Sienna Princess.
The name Rose reportedly has a connection to Gaga, whose maternal grandmother was the late Veronica Rose “Ronnie” Ferrie Bissett.
She also has the title of her song from A Star Is Born, “La Vie En Rose,” tattooed down her spine.
Gaga, whose real name is Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, and Polansky have been together since 2019 and became engaged in April 2024.
