A man has sparked widespread reactions on social media after stating that he would never date a woman who had previously been in a relationship with a suspected internet fraudster, commonly referred to in Nigeria as a “Yahoo boy.”

“I can never date a girl who has dated a yahoo boy before. Many girls who have dated a yahoo boy before have no character or dignity. That kind of girl is lured by money only, she likes money and I can’t trust that kind of girl,” he added.
