The founder of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry, Pastor Chris Okafor, has addressed the grave accusations brought against him by Nollywood actress Doris Ogala.
The cleric from Lagos insisted that the claims were intended to ruin his reputation and ministry, calling them untrue, nasty, and contradictory.
Speaking to reporters in Lagos on Thursday, Okafor responded to allegations that he had a hand in Ogala’s brother’s demise.
He was also accused of having a long-term romantic involvement with the actress and later abandoning a vow of marriage.
Reacting aggressively, the pastor questioned the reasoning behind the accusations, stating the claims did not add up.
“The same person accusing me of murder is also saying I want to abandon her to marry another woman,” he said.
He went on to say that it was absurd for someone to ask a man she supposedly thought killed her brother for marriage.
According to Okafor, the situation contains “glaring lies, unanswered questions, and facts that do not align.”
The cleric further said that his ex-wife later joined the dispute with additional charges against him.
He asserted that she accused him of trying to defile one of their daughters, a charge he vehemently refuted.
According to Okafor, the same ex-wife and daughter allegedly made financial demands of a well-known blogger.
He claims that they asked for roughly ₦80 million to pay for living expenses and school tuition overseas.
He questioned the accusation once more, questioning why, if he were really guilty, such a request would be made.
“Which woman would do that to a man she claims tried to harm her child?” he asked.
Pastor Okafor insisted that every accusation made against him was untrue.
He characterised them as a part of a concerted effort to undermine his ministry and harm his reputation.
The preacher urged the audience to be patient, insisting that the truth would eventually be revealed.
