On the microblogging site X (previously Twitter), a woman reported her husband’s response to a remark her sister-in-law made regarding a treat she had baked.

The event happened over the weekend while her in-laws were visiting, according to the woman, who goes by @yvessirae on X (previously Twitter).

The lady talks about her encounter during her in-laws’ visit. The woman revealed in her tweet, which has received over 3 million views, that her sister-in-law commented on the dessert she had baked for dinner.

Her husband, however, quickly addressed his sister, causing the table to become silent, and helped her understand that he is not only her partner but also her protector.

‎I don’t know if I should be sorry or proud of my husband.Over the weekend, my in-laws came to visit. We all sat around the dinner table when his older sister made a comment about the food I cooked.

‎Before I could even respond, he looked at her and said, “That’s how we like it here.‎When you get back home, you can cook yours the way you like it.

‎The table went silent. I held my breath.Because standing up to family like that? It’s never small, it echoes.‎He didn’t soften his tone. He simply drew a line, right there, in front of everyone.
