Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady, is scheduled to deliver a sermon at Lambeth Palace on Thursday, March 19, as part of President Bola Tinubu’s ongoing state visit to the United Kingdom.
The event will be held at Lambeth Palace, the Archbishop of Canterbury’s official residence and a key Church of England centre, emphasizing the visit’s religious and diplomatic dimensions. According to an itinerary released by Agence France-Presse, the First Lady is also scheduled to meet with Church of England representatives while in London.
The state visit marks Nigeria’s first such official engagement with the United Kingdom in nearly 40 years and is aimed at strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations across political, economic and cultural fronts.
President Tinubu and the First Lady arrived in London on Tuesday via Stansted Airport, beginning a schedule of high-level engagements that includes meetings with King Charles III and Keir Starmer, alongside interactions with members of the Nigerian diaspora.
Mrs Tinubu is an ordained pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
