Don Jazzy, D’banj and Others Conspired Against Me – JJC

Nigerian musician JJC has publicly claimed that prominent industry figures, including Don Jazzy, D’banj, Ayo, and DJ Abass, conspired against him early in his career.

According to JJC, CAS introduced Don Jazzy to him, while Ayo and Abass arrived with him when they were managing a TV station. Recounting his early struggles, JJC said, “I came to them and said you guys are obviously well connected in Nigeria, and I’m a JJC. I need somebody to introduce me to the right people to work with.” He added that they agreed to help and provided him with a contact, Bankuli.

JJC revealed that while Don Jazzy recorded a song with him and D’banj had a deal for himself, the industry veterans allegedly had plans that he was unaware of. He further said he learned from Ruggedman that D’banj allegedly claimed, “I’m not paying them, I’m cheating them.”

Responding to the accusation, JJC stated, “Nobody knows you, bro. I take you to shows, buy your clothes, food, you even live in my house and I take you everywhere. How can I be cheating you when you haven’t made any money?”

This revelation sheds light on tensions and alleged hidden agendas within the Nigerian music industry, as one of its rising stars speaks out about early career struggles and perceived betrayal.
