An interesting dating experience has been shared online by a woman who describes how a date took an unexpected turn when her partner asked her to pay the tab.

The woman claimed that she had arranged a Saturday night date with a man who demanded to take her to his favourite eatery.

The unpleasant moment when the man informs the date that his transaction limit has been reached.

The man allegedly told her that he had reached his daily transaction limit as they arrived at the location and asked her to pay for the dinner, promising to reimburse her later.

“Do you mind paying? I’ve reached my daily transaction limit, I’ll refund you later,” he reportedly said.

The woman said she felt uncomfortable and surprised by the request, prompting her to leave the restaurant immediately. “I turned and left immediately,” she explained.

In contemporary dating culture, where openness and respect are more prized, the incident has spurred conversation on social media regarding expectations and financial etiquette on dates.
