Mrs Ezinne Nwanorue, a Nigerian woman living in Canada, has sparked outrage on social media after celebrating her mother-in-law’s death amidst her continuing marital battle with her husband, Franklin Nwanorue.
The latest development comes just days after the couple went viral after taking a public fidelity oath, with Franklin claiming that he would die if he cheated on his wife after joining her in Canada.
The couple had posted recordings of themselves vowing to be sexually faithful to each other.
Read what Franklin said below:
“I confess and I promise that if I come to Canada and cheat on you, let me die in the name of Jesus.”
Mrs. Nwanorue responded to the death of her mother-in-law, Comfort Chika Nwanorue, on social media, calling her a “wicked witch.”
“One wicked witch is down: my dead mother-in-law, Comfort Chika Nwanorue, rest in pieces in hell with other dead witches; your members will soon join you,” she wrote.
She also claimed that her late mother-in-law and other family members conspired against her and attempted to derail her destiny.
“These people have dealt with me in this life; they found out about my destiny, and they did everything within their power to bring me down, but I thank God for helping me discover who I am and coming through for my destiny,” she stated.
Mrs Nwanorue also claimed to be speaking as a prophetess, warning individuals she described as witches and evil people to repent.
“I am talking from the place of my office as a prophetess of God Almighty,” she wrote.
