Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez has opened up about his rift with fellow rapper Odumodu Blvck, alleging that a woman they were both interested in became the source of their fallout.

Speaking during a recent interview, Blaqbonez said he and Odumodu previously had a cordial relationship before they both met the woman sometime in 2023.

He said:

“Me and Odumodu Black used to be cool, we had cordial relationship then. Sometime in 2023, like June or July, we met a girl at the same place at the same time, we were both interested in the girl and both parties made moves to her.”

According to Blaqbonez, he later had a non-exclusive relationship with the woman for about a year before she ended it, saying the relationship was no longer progressing in the direction she wanted.

He said he later discovered that she was dating Odumodu after unexpectedly meeting her at a bar and asking about her relationship status.

“Days later I ran into her in a bar, and we talked, so I asked her who she was dating, that was when I found out it was Odumodu. I promised her she won’t hear from me again, and we moved on,” he added.

Blaqbonez alleged that the situation later escalated when Odumodu confronted him over the woman, accusing him of bothering her. He said he explained that he and the woman had a past relationship but had already stopped communicating.

The rapper also recalled a three-way phone conversation involving himself, Odumodu and the woman. According to Blaqbonez, the woman denied having a previous relationship with him and also allegedly denied that they had travelled to Ghana together.

Blaqbonez further alleged that the disagreement eventually developed into what he described as repeated harassment and attacks against him on social media by Odumodu Blvck.
