Hon. Ifeoma Peace Agwu, the Executive Chairman of Ishielu Local Government Area in Ebonyi State, has come under criticism following the commissioning of a project in her constituency.
The council chairman shared a video on Facebook showing the inauguration of a borehole project for residents of the area.
In the footage, she was accompanied by community members as she cut a ribbon tied around the borehole, which operates using a manual hand pump. Her name was also inscribed on the concrete platform surrounding the facility.
The project sparked reactions online, with many Nigerians questioning why a manually operated borehole was being presented as a major constituency project, describing it as outdated and inadequate for the needs of the community.
