Nollywood actress Anita Joseph isn’t holding back when she criticises married guys for not wearing wedding rings.
The recently divorced actress questioned why so many men dislike wearing their wedding rings in a widely shared Instagram post. She even pledged to inundate them with quotations all year long.
“But men, why una no Dey wear una wedding band? This year una go hear quotes tire oh.
“Your wedding band is a kind of assurance to your wife. In as much as it’s just a ring, it’s a promise to your wife that you’re still here and still got her,” she said.
Recall that Anita dissolved her five-year marriage to MC Fish last year, which was clearly bittersweet.
She announced the dissolution of her marriage in December, considering how life puts us to the test in unexpected ways, particularly in marriage.
The actress disclosed that she has chosen to accept grace, growth, and faith after going through a period of intense introspection, suffering, and healing.
Despite being inundated with calls from men, Anita made it clear after her divorce that she is single and not seeking a spouse.
She also stressed that eight years and eleven days with her spouse is not the same as eight months, and she stated that she must first get her thoughts straight.
Online discussions have been triggered by Anita’s tweet, with followers praising her candour and criticising males who break their marriage vows.
