“Agreement with Iran Has ‘Been Largely Negotiated’ and Strait of Hormuz Will be Opened – Trump

Trump says agreement with Iran has been “largely negotiated,” adding that his latest phone call with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the emerging deal went well.

According to Times of Israel, he also said separate discussions with several Middle Eastern leaders, excluding Netanyahu, were similarly positive as the United States moves closer to finalizing a broad regional understanding.

The US president posted on Truth Social that he was in the Oval Office conducting what he described as a “very good call” with regional leaders concerning a memorandum of understanding aimed at achieving peace.

He said the deal, once finalized, would involve the United States, the Islamic Republic of Iran, and other participating countries.

According to Trump, the agreement would include the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical global oil shipping route that Tehran has restricted during recent regional tensions.

Trump emphasized that final details were still being negotiated but indicated that consensus had largely been reached.

He added that both his call with Netanyahu and his wider regional discussions “went very well,” suggesting growing diplomatic momentum behind the initiative.

Reports indicate rising concern within Israel over the potential terms of the agreement.

In response, Prime Minister Netanyahu reportedly convened coalition leaders and senior security officials for urgent consultations to assess the implications of the emerging deal for Israel’s national security.

The announcement comes amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing disputes over Iran’s role in regional conflicts.

While details remain subject to final agreement, the proposed framework is seen as a significant diplomatic development that could reshape energy flows and security dynamics across the Middle East.

Trump said formal details would be announced soon.

Officials stressed that negotiations remain fluid and subject to change as diplomatic teams work to finalize remaining technical and political details in the coming days before any announcement officially.
