
Ibrahim Dalhatu Tafoki, a Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) officer, was slained by suspected armed bandits in Katsina State’s Faskari Local Government Area.
On Tuesday night, December 23, 2025, Ibrahim was attacked and slained on the Funtua–Tafoki road.
According to security analyst Bakatsine, who verified the event on Wednesday, the attackers allegedly took the officer’s motorcycle.
“Yesterday evening, a Road Safety officer, Ibrahim Dalhatu Tafoki, was k_lled by armed bandits in the Tafoki axis of Faskari LGA, Katsina State, along the Funtua–Tafoki road and they took his motorcycle,” he wrote.
“The attack occurred within an area that has recently witnessed several peace and reconciliation efforts with b_ndits aimed at restoring calm.”
The deceased was the younger brother of Rt. Hon. Shehu Dalhatu Tafoki, Member of the House of Representatives representing Kankara–Faskari–Sabua Federal Constituency, and a son of Tafoki traditional leader Alhaji Dalhatu Tafoki.
