Zics Aloma, a Nigerian content creator, drew comments online after revealing his encounter with an old acquaintance who reached out after years of silence.
According to him, the person he had not spoken with in over two years suddenly wanted a substantial number of money to pay rent.
He added that after stating that he was unable to offer the sum, the person insulted him before cutting off connection.
Zics Aloma used the incident to reflect on what he called one-sided relationships, noting that he has consistently been generous to friends on special occasions but has not received the same level of support in return.
He promised to match people’s energy moving forward.

“One of my old friend that I haven’t spoken to for over two years asked me to give him 2 million to complete his house rent and I told him that I don’t have; he insulted me and blocked me. You have not spoken to me for the past two years and you’re suddenly billing me. My last birthday I only got one gift from my assistant, whereas I give my friends cake, perfume and wig for their birthday. This year, energy for energy.”
