A social media activist. VeryDarkMan has ignited new debate online after criticising King Mitchy for her recent school remodelling initiative.

The drama began when Mitchy quietly confronted VDM, expressing concern that hundreds of millions of naira contributed by fans had purportedly stayed in his bank account for nearly two years with no visible progress on the school restoration projects.

Mitchy claimed that she renovated certain classrooms in just six days and thanked Seyi Tinubu for supporting the effort.

While many welcomed the gesture, VDM questioned the timing and motivation behind it.

In a video posted on Instagram, he said that the initiative is politically driven ahead of 2027.

According to him, Mitchy should not feel “special” for carrying out a project supported by someone with direct access to power.

“Seyi Tinubu that has the ears of his father gave you money to renovate a school and you think you are special? You are a political tool,” VDM said.

VDM underlined that if Mitchy actually has access to Seyi and is aware of failed public schools, she may advocate for greater government assistance rather than isolated restorations.

He also expressed concern over insecurity and misery in many sections of the country, arguing that governance should not be reduced to influencer-backed initiatives.

“They didn’t give you this money in 2023 or 2024. They are giving you in 2026 when campaign for 2027 is close,” he added.

His remarks have now divided social media.

While some Nigerians believe that charity should not substitute government responsibilities, others contend that improved schools help kids regardless of political timing.
