A political commentator has sparked widespread reactions after sharing a strong and emotional critique of the Nigerian government, raising concerns about justice, accountability, and fairness in the country.
According to reports, Mama Pee openly criticized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the ongoing detention and legal proceedings involving Omoloye Sowore, drawing attention to what she described as inconsistencies in the application of justice.
Speaking about the situation, she questioned the government’s moral authority to pursue certain legal actions while other unresolved allegations involving powerful figures remain unaddressed.
Speaking against President Tinubu, she said, ‘You’re not a criminal—go to court and prove it; you forfeited $460k in a US drug case’.
In her words, she emphasized that anyone accused of wrongdoing should be willing to appear in court and defend themselves, insisting that justice should not be selective.
She further argued that the credibility of the legal system is weakened when it appears to target some individuals while overlooking others.
Beyond this, she referenced past controversies, including allegations linked to financial matters abroad and disputes surrounding academic records, noting that such issues continue to raise doubts among the public.
According to her, transparency and accountability should apply equally to everyone in positions of authority, not just critics or opposition voices.
