Women in Paris reportedly protested by rem0ving their cl0thes and holding placards following the mu√der of an 11-year-old French girl whose alleged k!ller had previously been reported to police multiple times as a s3x off3nder.
More than 60,000 people were said to have taken part in nationwide demonstrations on Monday, June 8, after the killing of Lyhanna.
Women activists were reported to have gone topless during the protests as they demanded justice and improved safety for girls and women.
Many protesters also called for the resignation of Justice Minister Gérald Darmanin, accusing authorities of failing to act on prior complaints.
The anger stems from claims that the suspect, 41-year-old Jérôme Barella, had previously been reported to police after allegations of s3xual abu$e involving a 10-year-old girl named Rosa.
Reports stated that medical evidence supported the abu$e allegations, but the suspect was not questioned by investigators for several months after the complaint was filed.
