In Mncitsini, Swaziland, a d0mestic argument between two lovers over alcohol money has turned into a serious criminal case involving accusations of a$sault and arson.

Nosipho Motsa, 32, is charged with igniting her boyfriend Nkosingiphile Hleta’s apartment after an allegedly vi0lent altercation.

After Motsa allegedly locked herself inside the burning apartment in an apparent attempt to end her own life, the fire destroyed property and almost resulted in tragedy.
In order to save her, neighbors stepped in and forced entry.

An earlier altercation is reported to have preceded the incident.

The 43-year-old Hleta is charged with a$saulting Motsa during the same argument that resulted in the fire.

On Tuesday, April 21, 2026, both made court appearances.
